0.33 l bottle @ home, from Beerlovers, Vienna. My first encounter with the style, so it’s a hundred percent subjective review. Pours deep brown with persistent, beige head. Nose is fruits, chocolate, malty-grainy with hints of honey. Sweet in taste, with hints of chocolate, fruits and grains. Finishes with long lasting, warming sweetness. I quite liked it.

Aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruits, alcohol. A bit herbal. Flavour is quite sweet. Thick and oily.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Brown , but powerful ale from Amsterdam, with some spices in it and a good bitterness.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, light roasty notes, chocolate, dried fruit, light sweetish notes, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty caramel bitter sweet finish with warming alcohol notes. Ok.

Opaque brown-reddish color with a nice off-white head and lots of yeasty pips. Nice Caramel and wooden Flavours. Intense mouthfelling.

Roodbruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en fruitig met iets van chocolade, pruimen en kersen. OK.

Bottle. Haven't had this since having it in tap at the brewery. A good English style barley wine, drinkable, lots of caramel and berry flavours, a bit boozy, malty and medium sweet. Nice.
