Wenn man jetzt noch Dombraumeister wäre, wüsste man, wie sich aus diesen Zutaten ein unvergleichlich süffiges Kölsch kreieren lässt. Aber das bleibt natürlich unser Geheimnis.

Bottle from The Curious Hop, Otley. Pours an almost clear golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, straw, grass and bread. Taste is similar with an added hint of floral hop on the finish. Slight metallic notes. Medium bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite a unique type of lager with the light notes of floral and the more of it i drink the more i like.

Pours clear blonde, medium small white head, with a low average stability. Scent is subtile, pale malts. Taste is full, nice bitter touch (noble hops, it seems) over a very bready base that builds up towards the aftertaste. Medium body and carbo. Refreshing, easy drinkin kolsch. Just the way I like them.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Grainy, strawy aroma with unpleasant stinging effect. Taste is rather plain bitter hoppy, minimally citrusy, slightly grainy and strawy malty; hoppy and malty notes run parallel, but become nicely integrated in the last third.

Bottle. Slight grassy aroma. Slight hopbitter grassy flavor. No exaggerated flavors and a good balance, as you might expect. The slightest hint of mint in the aftertaste. Likeable kölsch.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before August 2018. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, moderately grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw and faint hints of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and a little metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not very remarkable, rather boring Kölsch. Alaaf!

Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Light golden and clear with a large amount of visible carbonation. No head. There's not a lot of aroma. A touch of hay, some papery notes. Sweet taste with a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Short to medium finish. There isn't a lot in this, but it's decent enough.
