(Bottle) Black colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, cacao, roasted chestnuts, dark chocolate, liquorice, some tar and a touch of tamarind. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, liquorice, black rye bread, hints of soy sauce, burnt sugar and a balanced roasty cacao bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Solid and well made imperial stout. Very nice.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a medium brown head. Chocolate aroma, with some roasted coffee and some chalk. Light sweet, light bitter with a long soft chocolate finish. A light tingle of acidic berries that puts me off. Decent.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty character, light mineral notes, resinous floral hops, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light nutty notes, light coffee grind, musty character, alcohol warmth, treacle, very nice and smooth. Bottle at L’autre oeil.

Old rating rerated 20.03.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Huge slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish mineraly, weeds, bark, roasted grain, hops, sour coffee, licorice, burnt toast, co2 stinging in the nose. Taste is sour-ish roasted, weeds, sour coffee, burnt grain, grass, minerals, burnt toast, bark, licorice, pine needles, paper. Medium to longlasting bitterness, sour-ish harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Svart.

Gott
