Keg at GBBF 2016. It pours jet black with a tiny beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, chewy, fragrant, fudge, sweet pine, chocolate cake and light spice. The taste is rich, bitter, rich roasted malt, toasted action, wood, charred, pine needles, fragrant, liquorice and ash with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit chewy, but OK.

Served through young pine needles. Black with thin soapy head. There’s a light pine in the aroma together with roasted dark malts. Flavour is bittersweet with elements of treacle. Pine and hops in the dry finish.
