0.33 l bottle from ’T-Drinks’, best before July 2021 (finally the bottle caps are silver and not black!). Pitch black with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish, moderately peaty and slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, mocca, ash, tar and hints of dark ripe fruits. Sweet, slightly roasty and quite peaty taste of dark chocolate, mocca, pralines, tar, ash and some dark ripe fruits, followed by a long, moderately roasty-bitter, quite peaty and rather burning finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, flat. Delicious, I like the rather strong peat flavours, might maybe need a bit more body. Balance is really good, it is quite intense though, especially the finish.

Black with ’falling up’ pearls and a thick creamy head. Rich, silky, creamy. Lots of bitter roasted malts and warming booze. Hints of dry wood in the finish.

Tap at Kaapse 2nd Anniversary. Black with medium tanned head. Dark roasted chocolate malts, very dense, caramel, vanilla, nice barrel notes, not sure what seems port or wine, juniper maybe even something that brings dark fruity berry notes. Sweet, light cocoa bitter. Full body, light fizz in there. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barrel Project #04/2016 on 21 May 2016 at 15:44 - Score: 8. Original review text: Kaapse 2nd Anniv. Tap at Kaapse Brouwers festival. Black with quite big creamy beige head. Lots of sweet chocolate, some booze, coffee, creamy roasted malts, light wood and vanilla, porto, deep red wine notes. Over medium sweet with medium roasted bitter finish. Full bodied with creamy feel. I’m lovin’ it!
