Dit bier heeft een extra vergisting ondergaan met een Brettanomyces gist in een Frans eikenhouten ton. We noemen dit bier daarom een Bretttûne bier, deze bierstijl is een combinatie van het woord Brett en tûne (Fries voor ton) en de 3 t’s staan voor het basis bier ‘tripel’. De bierstijl Bretttûne kenmerkt zich door een complex fruitig karakter, licht fris zuurtje en subtiel vanille door het eikenhout. Een bier wat je gerust jaren donker en koel kan wegzetten om verder te laten rijpen.

From tap at 4e Noordelijk Lentebieren festival Leeuwarden. Aroma is quite oaky, sweet ripe fruits, orange, a bit spicy, light malty. Didn’t get much Brett, unfortunately. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet. Actually a bit less sweet than the regular Grutte Pier Tripel, which is a good thing. Overall this beer is not bad, but not great either. Some Brett would definitely have helped.

Bottle 0,33 ltr: Hazy orange colored brew with an try to dominate sour taste but there is some sweetness, fine hints of sour apples mostly. Warning gusher-alert and that i don't like, i keep the beer stand up and still its happen.

Tap @ Bierfestival Albergen. Golden color. Wood dominant in the soft aroma. Citrus in the background. Sweetish flavor, oak, citric, soft dusty vinegarry notes. Decent.

Bottle shared with Inoven and TomHendriksen. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell lightly malts, oak, apple, apple peel. Almost a cider. Flavor is similar: malts, apple peel, apple, sweetish, slightly tart-ish. Bleh. Fizzy carbonation. No, no my thing at all.

Fles gedeeld door Benzai geprobeerd met Inoven. Het is een goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een houtige geur. De smaak is moutig, houtig en kruidig. Het is zeer bruisend.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai en gedronken met Tomhendriksen. Oranje geel troebel bier met matig schuim. Aroma is fruitig en kruidig. Smaak is te kruidig. Weinig nasmaak.

33cl bottle. A hazy pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, yellow fruits, spices. Taste of yeasty fruits yellow fruits, pineapple, wheat.
