Draught at Lauter, small stable bubbly head, coal black colour, cake maltiness, a bit of vanila, spice and a hint of grapefruit, flavor of coke, plums and some roastiness and chocolate, light noticable Sweetness. Nice and interesting.

One-third pint. Deep dark brownish body, patchy surface, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of mint chocolate. Similar taste of mint chocolate. Prolonged finish, lightly roasted. Nice, just a little unvaried. (Liverpool, 13.02.2025).

Tap at Craft. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, roast and mint. Taste ramps up the mint quite a bit. Like a liquid after eight. After you get used to the mint the chocolate comes back a little and it's sweet and malty. But it's all about the mint. I quite like it. Finish is very malty, barley and caramel. Very smooth and easy drinking.

(Draught at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 28 Nov 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, vanilla and hints of raisins. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, mint, coffee, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with soft and smooth mouthfeel. A touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced stout with lots of chocolate and a gentle, fresh mint and vanilla character. Very nice.

[ As Thornbridge Baize ].Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, mint. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, mint, chocolate, dark chocolate, roasted. Draught @ Belge, Helsinki. Poured mahogany color with a thin white head. Aroma has mint, vanilla, dough, pulla. Vanilla bun, chocolate and mint. Pleasant.

Tap at Punavuoren Ahven, Helsinki. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Mint, chocolate, sweetness, candies and roasted malts. Too candy for me.

Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Clear dark brown body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and a subtle hint of mint (which I think I’m noticing only because of previous reviews). Flavour of caramel, sweet milk chocolate and fig. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich and earthy. A tasty, well balanced Sweet Stout.
