500ml bottle. Nice clear chestnut colour, small off-white head, decent retention. Aroma of caramel, malts, straw, raisins; quite nice. Taste is raisons, sweet caramel malts, chocolate, a hint of light citrus at the end with moderate bitterness; good stuff. Light to moderate body which I feel could be a bit fuller or smooth to enhance the flavour. The carbonation is too zingy as well. Apart from the mouthfeel I did enjoy this one, the flavours more than make up for it.

Clear amber brown colour, good frothy macropore beige head, dissipating slowly, patchy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, red berries, strawberries, cherries. Taste light heavy to medium sweet, slightly bitter, malty, fruity, toffee, touch of molasses. Mild fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, woody notes. Medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation. Well-balanced, by no means too sweet, very nice.

Keg at Rowans in finsbury park, London. A humdrum ale that was one of the better options in a bad line up.
