Dark red brown colour. Quite a sweet aroma with hints of red fruit and candy. Flavour is similar but with a fairly strong, resinous hop bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light woody hop, light malt palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel. A decent session beer but a little too gassy for me.

500ml bottle. Clear dark, ruby red with a decent off white head. Strong malty aroma, taste is sweet malt, berries. Right up my street

Bottle from the Kensington Tesco. Pours dark coppery amber with a transient head. Aroma seems a bit cola. Med body. Flavor actually seems a bit cola, but there’s hop enough to make it non-cola. I normally dislike ambers, unless they are overhopped or imperialized, but this one is on the edge of being pleasing (to me). Not bad for an amber, finishing malty, but almost bitter enough to take care of that.

bottle from Tesco Exmouth. Amber golden, mid-sized white head. Malty with a nice hoppy touch, not too intensive but quite ok, delivering some fruity flavours.

500ml bottle from local shop. Reddish tinged dark amber colour, off-white foam head and fruity aroma. Taste is malt, caramel, sweet fruity, alittle biscuit, yeast with some slightly roasted bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle from Tesco, drunk at home. Dark reddish-purplish brown. Clear, with a fair bit of cream/khaki head with mostly dissipates quite quickly. Light but enjoyable aroma of wheat, malt, cranberries. Agreeable but unremarkable taste. Carries the sweetness of the malt well. More berry, with a toasty and almost metallic note to finish. It’s good, it has a lip-smacking je ne sais quoi but it just doesn’t engage me enough. Tasty and frustrating.

Bottle at Carol and Haydns summer party, Saturday 11th July 2015 after a hard day of frustrating brickwork. A dreadfully boring beer, reddish amber in colour with a sticky white head. Fruity in mouth and boiled sweet fruitiness in mouth, little else going on here, a really tired boring flavour. A5 A3 T5 P3 Ov10 2.6
