500ml bottle from Tesco - Amber to red body, thick white head, bit thin at the end. Nose is very pleasant, bit of citrus, some berries in there too. Taste has a little bit of hoppiness about it, some malty citrus as well, with a pretty citrus finish to round it off. Quite a nice surprise this one.

Bright clear amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Light airy dry malts, touch of lactose like sweetness and light caramel. Whisper of esters and dried fruits. Light dry finish. Very hollow. Sharps are better than this dross!

500ml bottle from Tesco. Deep Amber colour with off white head. Aroma is sweet malts the tast too, with lots of stewed fruit.

50cl bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. Pale chesnut with a loose cream head; sweet, nutty aroma; full bodied, and rather sweet, with a gentle but satisfying bitterness leaving some warmth.

Bottle from Tesco drunk at home. Clear russet colour lasting ivory head. Slightly boiled sweet aroma with some grapefruit hop but it does smell of a lot of pasteurised beers I’ve had in the past. Flavour is dull malt. A little bit of hop. But it’s sweet, it’s either pasteurised or filtered to within an inch of it’s life. Finishing hops are decent but don’t cover the rest of this beer. I’m in two minds to pour it down the sink. Too sweet, too pasteurised/filtered too carbonated. Bit of lively hop, some enjoyable sweetness, but otherwise, not a great bottled beer.

500ml bottle. Pours dark reddy brown with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is coffee and redcurrant jelly. Taste is very bready with red fruits. Touches of coffee.

Cask-conditioned at the grosvenor, Hanwell, 18/9/2014. deep copper in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish malts, red berries and a touch of grassy hop. Flavour also contained a touch of spice in amongst the fruit, before a moderately bitter finish. Good.
