We took a bold blend of hops and brewed it two ways. Weez is the hoppy result of blending with dark malts, while Another One is the smart blond fraternal twin. Hoppy and “roasty” from start to finish, this version is named Weez after our brewer Mark’s cat. A tasty black ale, it’s dedicated to stray cats everywhere — especially those cared for by a group we support, HART, the Homeless Animal Rescue Team of Maine.

A deep dark black ipa with a super luscious thick frothy brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty floral hops, grapefruit pulp, very fragrant. In mouth, a nice bitter sweet chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, resinous floral hops with citrusy notes, predominantly bitter chocolate. Bottle dated 08-06-2013. Excellent condition.

50 cl bottle @ tiong, bottled 10.07.2014
Aroma is rather nice with lots of fruity hops, grapefruit and some licorice. Flavour has lots of hops, grapefruit, ash, some licorice and nettles. Usually I don’t like CDAs where roastiness is left behind the hops, but this was good. I’d smoke this everyday.
