In de Ardense wouden groeit in het wild de bosbes. De regio van Vielsalm is beroemd voor zijn rijke oogst en veel streekproducten met de Wilde Bosbessen. De Bosbessen (Vaccinium Myrtillus) worden in hun geheel (geen sap) aan lambiek toegevoegd in een verhouding van 40 kg per 100 liter jonge lambiek.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy red with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, blueberries and barnyard. Flavor is quite sweet and rather acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 150918

Bottle pour at De Lambikstoempers Bierweekend. Deep maroon color, pretty. Seedy, fruity nose, berries, cherry, grapefruit. Not sure if this is wild cranberry or a bilberry, which I have never seen. Leather, horse blanket funk. big sourness, so maybe it is a cranberry. Seeds come through, some yogurt, cherries, berries, acidity is high, with leather and dust. Interesting and delicious, but a bit painfully sour.

Bottle shared with Koelschtrinker. A hazy dark reddish purple beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of tart cherries, red grapes, brett. Taste of tart red fruits, grapes, brett, blueberries, nice.

Spritziger, fruchtig säuerlicher Beginn. Sehr weich, geringe Herbe, angenehm nach Heidelbeeren. Spritzig, die Säure fährt zurück, leicht herb, langer Nachhall. 10/10/10/10/10/10

Cardinal red beer with flamingo pink head. Intense berry nose, but also paint stripper, putty, gouache, and berry pie. Nice, cake/pie carried berry bavaroise. Paint stripper diminished to a hint. Long-lasting fruit flavours, getting intense, better and more acidic. Dry-out effect, ever-lasting flavours and lipsmacking acidity. Outstanding. 7/4/9/4/17
