Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full.
First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste.
A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before April 2026. Hazy, golden with a large, dense, stable, white head. Sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove and some honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, fairly yeasty-spicy taste, a little fruity taste of banana, clove, some honey, traces of lemon peel and hints of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly chalky finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Good Weizen, very well-balanced and harmonious.

500ml bottle that pours a fairly clean, golden colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and creamy lacing streaks. Gets a little hazed as it pours. Soft banana nose from the wheat with a touch of cloves. This continues into the taste. Hints of bubble gum in the aftertaste. A wet mouthfeel, not too thick with a fairly crisp finish. Some good orange aromas do come out at last pour, getting even more hazy. Quite a good, easy-drinking Wheat Ale with a touch more alcohol - which is nice.

Bottled. Slightly hazy yellow pour. Esters bananas and cloves. A pretry archetypical hefe.

Bottle at Hopa. Pours hazy, deep golden with a thicc, frothy, long lasting head. Nose is intense fruity esters and sweet grains. Taste is also sweet, showing notes of bubblegum, banana-like esters and bready malts. Closes with a long lasting sweetish finish, has a light yet full, chewy body and average carbonation. Noice.

Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana. Flavour is similar. One of the best Hefeweizens I’ve had, it’s quite tasty.

Hazy orange pour with a stable white head. Aromas of orange, whet, banana, a hint of pepper. Taste is quite similar - very nice wheat beer

Bottle. Pours a semi hazed gold with nice consistent white head with lacing. Aroma of caramel, banana bread, clove. Taste follows - very balanced with a pepperiness and lemon peel in the finish. Very soft carbonation mouthfeel, medium bodied and smooth. Very smooth, drinkable and balanced but maybe more of an entry beer to the style as I didn't find it particularly distinctive considering previous scores. No denying its a good beer though.
