Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure.

Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full.

First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste.

A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a hazy light amber colour with a huge creamy white head. High carbonation in the glass . Nice looking beer! Aroma is lots of overripe banana, cloves, yeast, wheat, white bread and some spice. Taste has all the same notes as the aroma. Light to medium bodied with a fairly smooth mouthfeel. Very refreshing, i would love this on a hot summers day. Great Weissbier one of the very best i have tasted.

Bottle pour from Colonial Spirits, Acton. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow with nice sparkle, thin cap of white head receding to persistent ring and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, yeast, fruity esters. Taste is strong wheat, fruity esters, mild banana. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, great representative of the style.

Stroong banana aroma and flavor, that is even surpassing the strong yeastiness. Golden color, but ver cloudy. Sweetish and loveable but lacks tartness and complexity.

A really good hefe.A really pure taste.Don't really know where 'hell' comes from, since this seems like a hefe.Maybe if I wouldn't have pour all the yeast in,it would be more clear.

Getreide und vergorene Früchte in einen Topf und durchgekocht. Durchaus süffig, aber ohne dass dabei der ganz großen Genuss aufkommt. Die Brauerei hat deutlich bessere Biere im Programm.
