Spookily smooth and chocolatey, Dark O' The Moon will leave you howling for more. This pumpkin stout touts a full body with a creamy texture and features notes of cocoa, brown sugar, vanilla, dark fruit, and pumpkin. A perennial favorite and 2010 Silver medalist in the Great American Beer Festival Field Beer category, Dark o' the Moon is brewed with Great Western pale, Crisp 77° Crystal, Munich, Cara-Vienne, roasted, chocolate and Special B malts. Pumpkin in the mash, kettle and fermenter. Bittered with Magnum and finished with Saaz and crushed cinnamon.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown/red with little head. Aromas of roasted malt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a bit of dark chocolate. Flavors of cocoa powder, burnt malts, dry spices, and plastic. Not much pumpkin which is OK, but the spices are off making for an acidic, bitter,and not very pleasant experience

Draught. Dark brown pour. Malty aroma, with just a bit of pumpkin in the aroma. Malty body, roast and chocolate flavour, again with a pumpkin tinge. Malty finish with ’n bietje spice and some bitterness

Big black pour at the monaca bocktown. Seens to have a coffee background. Quite strong almost like impy stout but not. Not much aroma, fairly sterile on the olfactory. A tad sour inthe background. Not sure if I can taste any punkin. Some fine co2. Yes, just a little more beefy than expected.

Dark with a thick creamy head. Aroma is roasty, coffee, pumpkin spice, light pumpkin. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is pumpkin pie spice, roasted coffee malts, chocolate, pumpkin. The stout and pumpkin goes together quite well. One of the best Pumpkin beers I’ve had.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Black, brown head. Aroma of gourd, light spice and coffee ground. Taste is roasty dark cocoa and Christmas spice. Very nice.

Appearance: Black with a medium sized tan head and good lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, pumpkin, chocolate and peat
Taste: Roasted malts, pumpkin, spices and some bitterness
A real nice beer.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Thanks again Armin! Pours deep brown appearance with a small brown head. Slightly peppery, chocolate, pumpkin, light citrusy, cinnamon aroma. A bit tangy, orange citrusy, spicy cinnamon, pulpy pumpki, roasty chocolate flavor. Pretty tasty but a bit spicy.

Bottle from Bier 30. Pours a pitch dark color with a thick brown head. A rich nose of chocolate, pumpkin and big spices. The flavor is great: smoke, pumpkin, light bitter hops, roast, very big flavor and meshes together. Very good.
