Copper, Medium and Quickly Dissipating Head, Medium Lacing. Sweet Malt with Lingering Light Hop Bitter Aftertaste. Pleasant Creamy Mouth feel. Well Hidden 7.3% ABV, smooth. Pretty Decent.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving no lacing. Sweet caramel and roasted nut aromas. Sweet toffee and caramel upfront turning dry in the lasting slightly hot doughy finish.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Charlottesville. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized white head that’s in a hurry to go somewhere. Aroma of toasted caramel malts, some nuttiness and faint floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, nuts, a vegetal note. Medium bodied. A little odd.

Gold color. Thin palate. Light malt sweetness and alcohol on the palate, but the flavor and palate and both too light.

Bottle. Rich amber/copper beer with a dark cream head. Sweet malt and light mineral aroma with caramel. Caramel and honey flavor with light mineral notes. Medium bodied. Honey and caramel linger with some toffee and mineral.

Bottle from the Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours copper/amber with a slight beige head. Aroma is bready with notes of hallertau. Med + body. Flavor is bready, very lightly spicy. Actually a pretty good bock. Finishes somewhat darkly malty, but there’s enough hop to argue it’s balanced. High ABV is probably a contributor to my positive tack here!

12oz bottle from TJs of course. BB 8/14/13, so I am guessing its about a month old. Pours a dark orange golden color into an 8oz mini nonic , small head. Clear beer with filter clear beer at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma is lagered earthiness with a bit of a floral bouquet. The flavor is better, a cleanier lager with a hint of sweetness at the end of the flavor. Just a very nice clean flavor with a nice juicy malt kick at the end. Great price for a sixer as well.
