From tap. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare, small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, breadish to slight caramelish. Toasted malt, breadish, light bitter, subdued hops fruity. Dry and toasted malt finish.

Black pour with a thin brown head. Roasted malts and earthy hops give a nice bitterness and roast flavor with minimal sweetness.

Dark brown in color with a brown head. Roast over hops on the flavor. Solid overall Black IPA, not amazing, but pretty solid.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is pine, dark chocolate, and roasted malt. Taste is bitter, with a light sweetness. Roasted malts shine very powerfully throughout. Well balanced black IPA.

Draught @ NYC Craft Beer Festival. Dark brown with small foamy beige head, pine aroma, low carbonation, coffee taste, long finish. Interesting.
