Pours black with a large, sticky, black with a large tan head. Thick and indulgent imperial stout with a good roastiness and the usual Impy Stout trademarks, i.e. chocolate, bitter dark chocolate, cocoa, some liquorice, vanilla and coffee. However the nuttiness dominates and it becomes a little bit Nutella heavy, I read that it uses real roasted hazlenuts and I get that, but it comes across as a little bit hazlenut syrupy to me and rather detracts from what could have been an extremely good beer, don't get me wrong, I like this but just thing it could be a bit more subtle here and there.
