Previously known as Henry’s Original IPA
Our local bitter, extremely popular in Devizes and district and available throughout the Wadworth trading area - light, refreshing and sessionable.
An aroma of gentle malt with slight hoppiness combines with a good balance of flavours on palate, maltiness gradually dominating. There is a long-lasting after taste to match which eventually becomes biscuity.
Ingredients: 92% pale malt, 6% crystal malt and 2% cane sugar. The bitterness units of 20-22 are obtained from Fuggles hops (80% of total) in the copper and Goldings hops (20%) on the hop back plates. Colour rating is 22.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and fruit, leading to a bitter finish. A bit boring.

cask - I’m not clear on why they call this one an IPA. At any rate, it has a minimal aroma mainly of pale malt. The flavor has mild bitterness and light malts. It’s a bit on the thin side. Uninspired.
