"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

22 ounce bottle. Cloudy amber gold color. Large bubbly taupe head. Earthy hops mix with toasted caramel malt to present a complex aroma. Spicy hops dominate the palate, yet their is an underlying malt backbone than helps to balance this IIPA. Notes of celery seed, grass and turmeric linger in the finish. There is a funky undertone here as we’ll that makes this ale a really unique experience. The bubbly head lasts right trough the last sip.

66cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Slightly hazy golden orange colour, off-white head. Aroma of weed, cabbage, dung, loads of hops in there, light sweet malts. Flavour is medium sweet, light sugar, bitter oranges, weed, like chewing on weed actually, light cabbage, spruce and pine in the rather bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. A bit over-done, but still quite tasty.

Bottle - A hop extravaganza that permeates the room, earthy, spicy, and grapefruit with a nice balanced sweetness. Copper, clear and a nice rich head. I expected a little more balance, but it was a bit too bitter with a bit of alcohol heat. As expected hops, hops and hops but with this style I want something a bit better rounded, the harshness is not appealing.
