12oz bottle. Brown black body. Thin, fading beige head. Creamy..almost drinks like an English Porter. Classic, no gimmicks...pretty refreshing in that regard. It does indeed have a well rounded flavor. Mild coffee and chocolate notes. Solid offering.

Bottle received in trade from Bigtreebrewing, thanks for the opportunity. Solid dark brown color with faint ruby at the edges and a smallish khaki head the slowly dissipates. Chocolate and caramel maltiness with a hint of roast. Creamy silky mouthfeel. Nice beer, could maybe use a hint more roastiness though.

bottle trade with RobertDale-then-on tap @Barley’s Brewhaus - Shawnee. Sharing some beers with RobertDale again, as he had traded a bottle of this after RBSG-StL, trying on tap too seemed a likely choice. Rich tan-black. A-roasty/chocolate-dk malt. T-roasty/chocolate-dk malt/oats, hint of hops.

12 oz. bottle thanks to GrandaddyKC, thanks Brad. Nice light fluffy foam on top of the pitch black stout. Aroma is toasted oats, roasted barely and mild earth tone.

The flavor is what you expect with a nice body from the oats no doubt, the flavor of the oats does’t come through but the chewy texture is there with a mild creaminess. Mild earthy hop for bitterness. Decent stout.

Bottle. A- Cocoa, chocolate, tobacco, alcohol. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Cocoa, bakers chocolate, roasty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Not bad, not great. There is a bitter lingering taste after a while that it not all that enjoyable but otherwise a decent beer. Not sure what it is with Kansas Breweries and putting bison on their Stout labels (see Tallgrass).

12oz bottle pours with a dark body that supports a thin dark tan head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, a bit of burnt malts, some spicy black licorice and then sweet smelling blueberry jam and cherries. The taste starts with a pleasing modest richness that delivers sweet malts, some dark roasted malts, chocolate and then sweet prunes and cherry like fruity esters. It gets a tad spicy here and there with a black licorice type note. Pretty nice stuff.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice roast with a ever so slight hop presence. Flavor is a nice oatmeal roast with a bit of pine hops. The roasted oatmeal malt really shines here. The hop additions make this even better.
