Draft at Capone's, clear golden. Mildly piney aroma. Full body, smooth but intense citrus hops taste. Long bitter finish. Top notch stuff.

510ml bottle from...somewhere in Carlsbad I think. Nearly transparent light caramel gold pour with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is piney grapefruit zest and crisp biscuit. Nice. Taste is a bit more straightforward piney bitter, with a bubbly crisp palate. Dry bitter finish. Tasty. Not up to the reputation I think but very good.

Pint at Backcountry Pizza. Pours a clear, bronze color, with a medium, white head, and some good lacing. The aroma is strong resin, dust, caramel, and light anise. Sweet and malty, with a mellow bitterness. Very smooth and clean. Quality.

15th March 2019. Draft at the San Clemente Pizza Port bar with the 'Slice of the Day'. Clean, clear golden pour, white topping. Nose holds citrus esters, the taste is also on the citrus side of hoppiness. Light piney notes try to give some balance and giving extra bitterness to the finish.
