Bottle at home. Reddish amber, creme head. Sweet malts, sugar, candy coating, banana, coriander, orangepeel, cloves, cinnamon. Big sweet, medium bitter, slightest tartness (from yeast). Full body, frothy texture, abrupt stale, dry leathery finish. Strong carbonation. Too much sugar up front, too little deep flavor.

Pours a dark orange color with small light beige head. Hazy appearance. Smells fruity, mostly banana. Carbonation is a bit higher then expected for a beer of this style. Taste is a combination of sweet and bitter, some fruity notes, caramel, spices. Strong presence of alcohol in the finish. Overall - very good if you love this style, although it is a bit pricey... Personally, I found Dubbel to be more to my liking.

33cl bottle from the local supermarket. Dark, muddy ruby pour with a tan head. Smells of caramel, yeast and dark fruit. Tastes bitter-sweet, of caramel and dried fruit.

Bottle from Drinkshop. Very easily drinkable, strikes a good balance between classic Belgian spicy yeastiness, slightly resemblant of trippels, and general caramelly maltiness. Hops is in the background. Easy drinking, good.

Hazy amber, tall airy head. Average retention, good lacing. Yeasty nose of fruit esters, also grains, corn. Medium body, oily. Dry taste of grains, fruit, some bretts, Port. Some honey. Minimal bitterness. More bitterness in aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden. High class.
