Bomber. Pours a hazy orange/gold with a very large fizzy head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit dominate the nose and those flavors are full on across the palate as well. This beer has a great balance between hope and malt and drinks more like an IPA than a double in terms of that balance. Malt is definitely not in the drivers seat. Very very nice to see this in the store here in PA.

Hazy golden color with a frothy and creamy white head with good retention and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of pine, some resins, citrus notes and tropical fruits. Flavor is moderate bittery, very fruity and fresh, tangerine and citrus are present, good pine hints. The final has a decent bitterness, very fresh and vaery drinkable.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Cloudy, dark orange. Thin, bubbly, lasting, off white head, that has a glossy top coat. Heavy, pithy orange, and pink grapefruit. Caramel. Fruit salad sweets. There’s a phenolic edge on this, too, although I don’t mind it. There’s enough sweet fruit to balance it. Taste is dry, and heavy bitter. Some sweetness bubbling around. Full, boozy, chewy palate. Finish is long, thick, chewy bitter. Sandy dry close. Certainly not lacking oomph.

Bottle. Dark golden, hazy body, with a massive, creamy, rocky, white head, that leaves a thick lacing. Lovely aroma of citrus, peach, passion fruit, pine, candy. Taste is dry, bitter, with about the same aromas and also a bice biscuit malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with lemon zest, pine, some grass and slightly alcohol warming. Tasty! The dryness is really nice, almost like a Belgian strong ale. Otherwise with lovely fruit notes and a solid, but not too full malt backbone, so that it is easy to drink.
