Gouverneur Tripel is een goudblond, licht zoet speciaalbier met fijne hoparoma’s en een hopbloemige smaak. Dit bovengistend bier is gebrouwen met kristalhelder water uit eigen bron en uitsluitend natuurlijke grondstoffen. De nagisting op fles maakt het bier een tikkeltje troebel en verrijkt het smaakaroma.

Big bottle from local AH XL. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty hints. Taste: Malty with floral hop backbone, yeasty hints, some stone fruit esters, light citrus fruit hints, sugary hints. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Not bad, but no excitement. Moderate sweetness and bitterness.

Bottle at home. Aroma of ripe fruits, citrus, yeast, slight sugary notes, malt. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. This is an acceptable if run-of-the-mill Tripel.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Hazy orange coloured brew with an sweet bitter taste and slightly hints of spices. Decent Tripel good for beginners and amatuer beerdrinkers, who will try an Tripel style beer.

Bottle at home as ''3-granen tripel''. Darker orange beer, small head, Aroma is malt, sweet, fruit, sugar, grain. Taste is the same, decent.

(Draught at Café Bruxelles, Haarlem, 29 Aug 2019) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with mixed fruit, sugar and spices. Malty, fruity taste with notes of mixed fruit, sugar, canned peaches, pineapple and a mild spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Not very complex triple, but decent enough. Quite enjoyable.

20 December 2018. At De Gouverneur, Maastricht. Shared with Anke. Pours clear golden with a big, lasting, frothy, white head; some lacing. Aroma of grass, white pepper, kitchen herbs, grain, yeast, apricot, faint banana, vague (chicken) broth. Taste is medium spicy bitter, a bit grassy, yeasty too, phenolic effect; luckily toned down by a light fruity sweetness with bread, apricot & green banana. Dryish, grassy hoppy finish, spicy, phenolic, leading to some warming jenever alcohol. Medium body, oily/slick texture, soft carbonation. Decent enough but I can't say that I love it.
