This ale-type beer was created for PALM brewer Alfred Van Roy’s 90th birthday. The ultimate expression of his passion for the distinct fermentation fruitiness of his personally selected PALM yeasts. A real royal treat of a beer. Its appearance is copper-coloured, with a rich, white head which clings to the glass. The aroma is reminiscent of banana; the flavour has bite with a great deal of body. The beer is slightly sweet due to the alcohol, but is nevertheless somewhat bitter and fruity too. Re-fermentation gives the beer a pleasant, dry aftertaste.

Bottled 750cl. Clear pale amber color, small white head. Metallic, apple fruity and woody aroma. Fizzy, lively carbonation. Thin, light body for 7.5% beer. Apple, pear, metal, some alcohol. Very lagery beer, this is a pretty close to European strong lagers.

Light amber-orange color with a low, lacy head. Sweet, fruity, spicy aroma. Slightly duvel-like, but sweeter. Fruity flavor; sweet and spicy with alcohol heat, a bit of honey, some hops. Slightly like a ginger ale, a bit fake tasting. Enjoyable enough but not impressive at all.

0.33L bottle, clear bronze colour but with some sediment floating, head almost non existent, strong bready aroma with notes of vanila and scents of mushrooms and some spice. mellow sweet taste with some bread and honey and an apple sourness which dominates a long pleasant finish. Medium body but feels just a touch diluted.

22/11 0.33 l bottle @ Hopdevil, Zagreb. It poured deep golden body with smaller head. Weak, a bit industrial aroma of some belgian ale yeast mixed with some malt. Flavor just as good, not so bad generally, but for the style really poor. Sugar sweetness, some caramel, orange and apple with some alcohol punch, specially in the aftertaste. Industrial, low quality Belgian ale, but you can’t expect anything more from Palm.
