Not regular IPA, not a New England style IPA, nor a DIPA, this turned out to be hard to categorise. So we did what we had to do and formed a category of our own for it. We know the name might be a bit in-your-face for anyone outside of Stockholm, but that’s where the brewery is, so that’s the name of the style. We’d love to have a Gothenburg-style IPA or a Malmö-style Session IPA to drink, so come on guys… get your beers together!

Tap at Frequency taproom. A bit hazy orange colour, small white head and lace. Aroma has light pineapple and gooseberry. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Flavour has also riped pineapple and gooseberry. Light sweetness. Ok.

On tap at Oliver Twist. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of some hops, grapefruit, hay and some hints of bread. The same in the taste. Sweetish and with a medium body. The finish was quite bitter.

Keg at Lådan, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Buttery nose with candy and lychee. Sweet and fruity with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Pears, lychee and marmelade. Heavy syrupy sweetness. Resiny bitter finish. Does not live up to my high expectations. 5/4/5/2/9 Re-rate, Keg at Frequency Brewery Tap, Stockholm. Hazy golden, small head. Generous apricot and lychee aroma. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Hop driven with manga and lychee. Long bitter finish. Much better now.
