Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado’s Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428’ peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU’s (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. Pours a slightly hazy golden/orange with an off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, grapefruit, plenty of hops and malts as promised. This brew has a hefty ABV, but the alcohol does not overrule. I really enjoyed this one, will drink again when the opportunity arises!

Bottle. Orange amber color. Melon, grapefruit and oily hops in the aroma. Full bodied. Slightly alcoholic. Grassy, slightly herbal hopbitter flavor with grapefruit, hopoil, pineapple and peach. Very tasty DIPA.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours clear, deep gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. The nose holds pine, ripe orange, melon and mango. Medium to big sweet flavour, with bready malts, light oily pine, some grass, more melon, oranges. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, oily and resinous, more bready malts, citrus, tropical fruits. Tasty big DIPA.

Poured from caged and corked 750ml bottle a hazy amber gold with a large head of foam that takes its time shrinking down to a solid 1" layer with good lacing. An absolutely beautiful pour!
The smell has a huge nose of caramel malt and I mean it is huge. Very inviting!
The taste is also HUGE on the caramel malt up front...big, deliciously sweet notes that, if left unattended, could take you over the brink but.... it is offset by a good hop infusion midway through creating a good balance(though the Malt *still* dominates) that makes this a top notch American Double IPA in my book.. Hell, I think this would be a great representation of an English style DIPA if one exists.
Btw, As I sipped more and more on this wonderful nectar....I completely forgot about the fact that this is close to 10%abv! Kudos to Left Hand for making this one so drinkable!!
Bottom line: Wow...this is a *great* American DIPA that I would *easily* pick up if and when I next find myself in Colorado.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - Hops, malt and very smooth. Tasty with a great mouth feel and really didn’t notice the alcohol. There was a lot of malt and it didn’t really work for me. My DIPAs need more hops.

Bottle from Beers of Europe (clearance section). Pours clear gold with a persistent thin white head. Aromas of resin, caramel, green plant stalks. Taste is bitter, light maltiness. Drinks well for the strength.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized creamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with notes of toffee, honey and pine. The flavor was sweet and tangy with a honey note then turned bitter with sour caramel, pine and a bit of earthy hops. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Draft. Slightly hazy golden yellow color, medium white head. Aroma has grapefruit and pine. Taste has citrus, pine resin on a cereal background, dry finish. Decent.
