33 cl bottle ordered to my local Systembolaget from the Systembolaget web. Sampled on May 11, 2017.BB 13-Feb-2018, Batch #2.Got to be the darkest brown glass bottle I’ve seen.Clear amber color, Medium sized off-white towards yellow head, leaving a bit of lacing on the glass. Hopp, mild fruity scent, tame. Sweet, bitter, resin, pith, caramel, a bit malty taste. Sweet, alcohol, resin, pith, bitter aftertaste. Medium to smooth soft mouthfeel, lowish CO2. High dry bitterness. On the second sip evident butterscotch comes through in the nose that I didn’t feel the first time.Alcohol not well hidden, pith like high dry bitterness too much for me. Also look over that butterscotch diacetyl like part please. Not balanced, but I get the feeling from the label text they weren’t really looking for a balanced beer either. Well I tend to look for balance myself, so this particular beer won’t get purchased by me again. Though this being the first beer I try from this brewery, it is well made enough for me to want to sample something else they’ve made, perhaps it will be better for my liking?
