Lemongrass (Aku Aku Lemongrass Ale)

Golden with a lasting white head. Hoppy aroma of exotic fruit, lime and other bright citrus notes. Dry and hoppy flavour with lots of citrus and some herbal notes

KØ11. Mild spicy aroma, must be lemongrass or perhaps hops. Good maltiness. Also some of the notes as in the aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. Good mouthfeel.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2011. Pours clear yellow with a small creamy white head. Lemon, lime, grass and corn. Medium bodied.

cloudy orange, smooth wihte3 head. wheaty and yeasty aroma, citrus, fresh. flavor is citrus, wheat, a little mild, and watery, good grape fruity hoppy note.

Tap. Slightly hazy golden with small white head. Flavour is malt, citrus, lemon, lemon grass and fruit.

Tap @ Pingvinen, Bergen. Pours a semi cloudy to clear orange body with a lasting creamy just off-white little head leaving nice lacing down the glass. Aroma is light fruity, not as fruity as I would have imagined but still. Some notes of peach, lemon and light grassy hops. Quite bitter at first, but it gets sweeter and sweeter as it gets some time in the mouth. Body is medium, average carbonated and it has an oily texture. A bit watery perhaps, and it has a nice maltiness all the way through. Is this supposed to be brewed with lemongrass? If so it's quite subtle and almost impossible to notice. All in all a absolutely decent APA. Light hoppy finish and a mild piny aftertaste. Refreshing beer and quite easy to drink, still I miss that expected lemongrass-punch lemongrass often can give to food.

On tap. Pours a pretty and almost clear deep golden with a white head. Light citrusy notes. Medium body with a dry fruitiness, again citrus notes - more from hops than lemongrass I reckon. The bitterness is dry but not overly bitter. Would be a perfect summer quaffer. 190311

Pours clear dark golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, grass and citrus hops. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

(Draught at Pikkulintu) Poured orange and cloudy with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained lemon, Finnish mead and teabag. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, lemon, teabag, hopsm fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was mildly bitter.

On tap at Patricks , Kristiansand . Amber - orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, lemon, malt, citrus, hop, fruit, berries. Flavour is sweet, lemon, malt, hop, fruit, berries, citrus, spices. Medium body. A very special beer.
