Donker bruin tot zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter, drop, anijs en zuur fruit (heel licht). Erg goed bier, blijft lang hangen.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky dark brown color with medium frothy light brown color, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, medicines, yeast and honey. Taste starts with sweet and rich toasted and mildly roasted malt, follows refreshing yeasty and dried fruit’s acidity, warming alcoholic mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and fizzy natural carbonation. Classy strong Belgian ale...

The heaviest and most interesting of the Floreffe range, with thick, yellow beige, moussy head and very dark brown colour, almost blackish, with wine-red hue. Malty and fruity aroma with spices, impressions of chocolate, caramel, banana, apple, passion fruit, coffee grounds, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, orange peel, port wine, hazelnut paste, honey, marzipan, cream. Full malty taste with dry coriander effect that will accompany the entire palate, finish a chicory kind of bitterishness, bit roasted, as well as warming, gin-like alcohol. Scotch-style ale.

Pours a beautiful deep black color, covered with generous dark tanned head with solid retention. There are some sweet fruits in the aroma, together with some interesting spices. The taste is surprisingly weak and watery. Some spices along some roasty feel, no realy bitterness. Too bad, promises much more than delivered.
