En av badplatserna kring Stora Värtan ligger på det område som tillhörde Kungliga Roslagens Flygkår, F2. Från 1912 och 55 år framåt lyfte och landade militära flygbåtar i Hägernäsviken. Det då avstängda området är idag befolkat av civilister som bor, badar och beter sig som folk gör mest.

F2 Pale Ale från RNB är en ljus ale med väl avvägd beska, lång och angenäm eftersmak och en god törstsläckare. F2 är brygd på fyra sorters malt och tre sorters humle. Det väl avvägda receptet ger balanserad smak och styrka med bibehållen karaktär.

Backlog (thanks mabjork). Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild herbal and a bit spruce tones. Flavour is grainy, some caramel, mild fruity and floral tones with some herbal and mild spruce tones to it.

Clear amber with full head. Dough aroma. Malt and earth taste with lingering bitterness.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 28 Sep 2017) Golden amber colour with big, lasting, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, toffee, black-currant and orange peel. Malty taste with caramel, toffee, black-currant and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

At SBWF 2017. Golden with a white head. Mild with malt, bread, light hops and some caramel. The body was medium as was the bitterness. A bit on the thin side.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear pale amber, mid sized head. Subdued grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with dusty citrus and notes of tea. Lingering piney, resiny bitter finish. Unpolished.
