Poured from a 750ml pet bottle, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Coal black body, minimal lacing, naked surface. Mid-sweet bread on the nose. Taste of sweet dark malts, kvas and cola. Sweet ending. Soft drink impression. (PivotekaH7, Tromsø 12.07.2018).

How: Plastic bottle.
Where: K mart, Kyreskoski.
Appearance: Light brown/red colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Bread, yeast, rye.
Body: Medium body, low to medium carbonation.
Flavour: Rye, bread, sweet.

75cl plastic bottle. Pours pretty much dark brown with no head. Surypy sweet, rye notes, molasses. This is sweet but quite drinkable kalja, better than most commercial ones out there. But too sweet. I drink better kotikalja everyday in my lunch restaurant.

Plastic bottle 0.75l from local market, Riihimäki. Colous is brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Syrup, sweetness, grain, bread and malts.

Plastic bottle @ Citymarket Ruoholahti. Aroma is sweet and unpleasant with messy yeasty and worty tones. Also some syrup and sewer. Flavour is sweet with malt, raisins, sugar and syrup. Aroma was a bit off but by taste this is rather balanced and drinkable kotikalja.

Plastic bottle (K-Supermarket City)
Dark ruby color, mostly vanishing head. Rye bready, brown syrup in the nose. Medium-bodied. Rye/dark bready, quite sweet kalja. Cola-like. Somewhat drinkable, above average Finnish commercial kaljas.

PET Bottle (from Prisma, Vaasa). Very deep rubyish brown colour with a small white sparkling head which vanishes quite quickly. Aroma is rye bread, some sugar, and mild ashy notes. Flavour is sweet ryepudding, sugar and some mild toasted notes. Quite sweet syrupy aftertaste. Not hopeless.
