(Bottle) Dark brown colour with big, frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly hoppy nose with black bread, chocolate, pink grapefruit, orange peel, treacle and spices. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of brown bread, chocolate, orange peel, hazelnuts, coffee and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced winter ale. Nice one.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Beautifully deep and slightly smoky malty brown. Very nice.

Mørk mørk brun med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter kaffe, kakao, kandis, nøtter og lett sitrusskall mot appelsin. Middelsfylde. Lett + bitter sitrusskall og kaffe, maltig karamell, kaffe og nøtter. Middels lang. Mer bitterhet enn søt karamell.

Bottle @ Tidens Farver, Aarhus. Pours dark reddish brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, little bread, nuts, grassy hops, little fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, malt, caramel, nuts, grass, fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 201216

Clear deep amber colour, tall frothy tan head, good retention, good lacing. Aroma ripe fruits, malts, caramel, light citrus and pine. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, toffee. Malty and fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, dry bitter finish, wood notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, very nice.
