Our Just Chill’n is a smooth oatmeal stout with strong coffee and chocolate notes. We spice it up with freshly barbecued red chili, chipotle and ancho to give a sweet, smoked character and a mild balanced heat. The chili ain't gonna blow your head off in this one - it's more of a chilled out chili brew, hence the name. Chur!

330ml can [as Just Chill'n Stout]. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of mint. peppery spicy undertones. Taste is bitter hoppy and bitter, roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately, peppery spicy notes of chili, a touch of mint and menthol. Slightly overcarbonated.

Melkebaren 221017. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is chili, roasted malt, coffee. Flavor is chili, roasted malt, fruit, coffee. Nice beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a neat, creamy and lacing beige head. Nose completely dominated by the dry and spicy chili. Medium body only, subtle roast with a pleasant edge from the chili leaving just a discreet bite. I'm normally not a fan of chili in beer, but here it has been done exactly right. 301117

Fra fat på Mi2 Cardinal, okt-17: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Dessertsjokolader, friskbrent kvalitetskaffe og mørk malt. Chilien ligger diskret i bakgrunnen, jeg hadde fint tålt en mer fremtrende rolle fra denne. Myk smak, overraskende slank for sitt vitamininnhold, og derfor svært lettdrikkelig.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 30.10.17. Ebony. Brown head. Aroma of fresh, strong coffee, roasted malt and a hint of chili. Taste of fine coffee, roasted malt, chili and dark chocolate. Hints of aroma and taste of chili, but no bite.

On tap at Melkebaren. A black to brown beer with a dense beige head leaving lacing. Roasted malts, coffee, some burnt malts and a light fruity touch. Subtle chili warmth, full body smooth carbonation. Roasted flavor with bonfire hints, some dried fruits and a very subtle chili flavor. Long burnt finish. A fine brew for sure, but there's not enough chili added. 171022

Bottle sourced from Toft Vin, shared with the fam - Black pour with khaki coloured head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma and taste with notes of cocoa, caramel, hoppy support, chilli kick in the close.
