Pours pitch black with a large, smooth and foamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, espresso coffee, licorice, chocolate and salmiakki. Taste is smooth and slightly roasty with a lot of nice licorice, coffee and ashy notes. Finish is smooth and mildly sweet with slight hints of hoppiness, fruits, coffee and roasty malts. Excellent, well balanced and tasty porter.

Draught @ pikkulintu. Black color, brown thin head. Licorice, roasted malt,chocolate aroma. Flavor has licorice, ash, roasted malt, hops, coffee beans and dark chocolate. Dry roasty finish. Tasty.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20121208 and 20121226) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had dark chocolate, roasted malts and cocoa. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, hops, vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was roasty, burnt and bitter. Very tasty and also a good aroma but the body was too thin.

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with brownish head. Aromas and flavours are coffee, hops and roasted malts. Too carbonated for me.
