Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by benzai. Pitch black colour with no real head. Smells iodine, bandaid, whisky, fingerpaint. Tastes iodine, peat, bandaid, fingerpaint. I hate the crazy amount of peat. If you like it, itβs probably a great beer. Full body, soft carbo.

Fluffy, gradually darker beige head over black-redbrown beer. Islay malt jumping out of the glass, tarr, phenols. More Islay malt, tarr, etc,, but also a strange liquorice-like sweetness lurking underneath. Chocolate (black) in the finish. Wood & tannine, also very present in the MF. Slick, alcoholheat, viscous. Quite good - peathaters, wegblijven!

Bottle @ ZEBF 2015. Aroma of mostly peat, some smoke and a little roast. The peat is quite dominant in the taste as well, combined with some roasted coffee, bitters and smoke. Good, but a bit unbalanced.

Bottle sampled at ZEBF β15. Pours near black with a ring bubble brown head. Aroma of massive peat, oak, dark chocolate, roast and coffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a massive boozy peat palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Decent but the barrel is really overpowering.
