Our flagship American IPA highlights the distinctively aromatic Australian Galaxy hop. The nose bursts with pine, citrus rind, melon and pineapple. Pronounced flavors of peach, clementine, and tropical fruits are accentuated with moderate bitterness and balanced by a light, biscuity malt character.

Bottle into a cloudy opaque yellow with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows ripe pineapples. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of very clean light pineapple and citrus fruits of tangerine and mandarin oranges with a moderate zesty spiciness. Practically no bitterness on the finish.

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy milky yellow with a frothy white head that leaves some sparse lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and slightly grassy with crackers, freshly baked white bread, grapefruit juice, pineapple, lychee, wild strawberries, freshly cut grass, pine needles, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is tiny bitter, very tiny sour, heavy fruity and slightly grassy. mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny flat, tiny dry and medium bodied. Finish is very tiny sweet, tiny bitter and very tiny sour with silly amounts of juice fruity hops. Holy crap that’s some amazing fruit juice! --- Beer merged from original tick of Congress Street on 04 Apr 2016 at 20:28 - Score: 9. Original review text: Holy crap this is some amazing fruit juice!

Bottles and draught since debut, most recently bottled 1/27/16 and drunk 2/4 and 2/5/16.
Not sure why I never got around to rating this one. Always an enjoyable beer and though it’s a bit bigger than Fort Point, it’s one of my favorite of the street series, despite not loving Galaxy hops. They’re done with much less tang/punch than in many other Galaxy IPAs and the lush fruitiness really shines. Even though it’s a notch bigger than fort point, abv-wise, it’s still quite drinkable, with a perfect texture and tight carbonation. Great attenuation, as their IPAs/pales always have and a lovely soupy appearance but yet with a full, well-retained white head. Big bouquet of cumquat, pineapple, lemon-orange and very light herb/spice notes in the nose. No alcohol or flaw noted in flavor or aroma.

75cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Tderoeck.

Thanks to tderoeck. IPA with stable, lacing, creamy, snow white head and cloudy, peach yellow blonde colour. Aroma of lemon zest, hemp, spruce shoots, apricot, field flowers, old cheese, buttermilk (probably still diacetyl as the bottle is apparently very young), grapefruit flesh; vividly fruity taste, apricot, pineapple but ’clean’ as most American IPAs, bit fizzy but not overcarbonated, light bready maltiness, early and very long, complex, refined hop profile, bittering and very aromatic, piney, citrussy, gentle and drying. Very elegant, fragrant, ethereal IPA.

Thanks to tderoeck! 750 ml. bottle split by five. 4 weeks old. Super cloudy orange, huge creamy white head. Nose is yeasty, dank fruity hops, white grapes, rustic, melon, hay, delicate, creamy, pepper,… Taste is dry creamy grass, light sugar, pepper, melon, white grapes, pepper, very delicate & hugely creamy body. Very impressive & I preferred this one actually to the Double Hopped version which we had right after this one but I was the only one.
