This IPA showcases 100% Irish Pale Ale Malt featuring the best home grown barley, malted in Cork and highly aromatic American hops – Amarillo, Ahtanum and Citra. This hop aroma forward IPA has wonderful citrus and floral characteristics, grapefruit at the fore with hints of lime, melon and lychees. The Full Irish was released to rave reviews at the 2014 Easter BeerFest in Cork.

American style IPA from this contemporary Irish craft brewery, made with one type of (Irish) malt, hence ’single malt IPA’ instead of the more expected ’single hop IPA’... Bottle at Ganzerik in Ghent. Snow white, bubbly, coarse, moussy head over a cloudy orangey blonde beer. Aroma breathes a lot of ’old hops urine’ and stale sweat, next to more elegant impressions of moldy lemon, old orange juice, dried bread crumbs, kiwi, minerals, white pepper, unripe gooseberry. Fruity, crisp flavor, hints of orange, yellow kiwi and passion fruit, minerally carbo, bready malt core, sweetish and supporting a grapefruity and ’orangey’ finish, resinous and aromatic, paired with yeasty phenols and bittering adequately, with slight tonic water-like effect in the end. One of the vast number of average ’international IPAs’ that have conquered the world in the 21st century, could have been a Czech, Dutch or Italian IPA just as well, but by itself enjoyable enough.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong white head. The aroma is nicely hopped, and the flavour is very deeply hopped with a lot of dryness at the finish. Overall a really nice IPA, really dry and hopped. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

250 ml. draft @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy golden, creamy white head. Nice lacing. Nose is a milky base, wet milky hops. Taste is very milky, unpleasant old lemon & potpourri bitterness, aromatic oil, herbal,… Faintly watery. Bitterness is unpleasant here for me, strange potpourri, aromatic oil, almost faint lavender notes, whole is sweet & quite milky on top.

Bottle at mum and dads, from Callans, 05/06/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off White head. Nose is tangerine, straw, light floral hop, melon. Taste comprises lemon sherbet, citric tinged straw, soft bread, orange pith, tangerine, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light hop dusting. Easy drinker but a little light on hops for the style.
