Like the traditional kölsch beers of Cologne, Germany, Freya’s Gold is clean, crisp and refreshing. Delicate lemony hop flavors compliment the smooth body of our most quaffable beer. Just like its namesake, Freya’s Gold has a wealth of suitors.

355ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Faint aroma of bready malt and honey. Sweet flavour of bready malt, lemon, honey, grass and floral hops in a dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink, just not very exciting.

Clear golden with a white head. Malty with fruit and a crisp noble profile. Clean mouth. Easy kolsch. Highly enjoyable if you enjoy the style.

Draft pour. Pours light with little to no head. Flavor is mostly corn with a lot of grassy, earthy flavors as well. Nothing too much stands out from this one. Very plain. It was very much drinkable, but I’ll call it just okay.

Very underperforming. Not sure if this is the pub’s bad but they tried to sell this as a saison. But actually, a kolsch makes more sense than a bad saison - if the brew doesn’t work, call it a Kolsch. Pours blond with ok lacing and head. Faint hay but I’m stretching with that. Definitely a skippable beer. On tap at Garrick’s head.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Pale color; creamy head. The aroma is light, just some grass. Some malt flavor, less crispy than expected, not bad; with quite strong bitterness.
More Lager than Kölsch.
