Draught sample at MBCC 2023, blue session. Clear, golden colour with a few white bubbles on top. Fruity aroma and flavour with yeasts, spices and fruits. Lovely Blonde!

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, large frothy white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty, herbal hints. Taste: Malty, yeasty notes, spicy notes, bittery orange peel, subtle stone fruit, bread hints. Light to moderate sweet, slighty tart, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Dry-ish mouthfeel at finish. Medium body, just over average carbonation.

Bottle from an online shop. Blonde with a big head of foam. Nice lightly sour nose, farmhouse like with tangy fruit notes. Flavor is big and dry with hints of caramel, big bitterness, nice complexity in the retronasal, hint of rubber. High carb and sparkly mouthfeel. Very nice overall!

Pours an almost perfectly clear light amber (murkier on second pour), with about two fingers of quickly dissipating head. Very little if no lacing at all. Pretty unusual for both style and de dolle. Good intensity in the aroma: a sweet honeyish and light chamomille base, strong fruity notes (peachy and tangerine/orange, the second in the likes of marmalade), a warming and slightly alcoholic feel. Taste is medium to high in sweetness with relatively little bitterness, but still very much in balance thanks to alcohol attenuation and a dry enough finish. Sweetish honey malts base, fruity notes as per aroma. some hop notes too: a slight balsamic/green hint, a bit of earthiness. Also warming feel with pretty evident alcohol (definitely too evident). All in all a nicely complex range, but not a well integrated one, with not enough carbonation (and consequently body) to hold the flavours together. As just mentioned, this bottle had mouthfeel issues. Medium to dense bodied with very low carbonation, definitely not something that was meant. the result in an oily/empty kind of feeling. A pity, aroma and taste complexity looked promising. The beer was overall still drinkable.

Bottle. Etre. Hazed, orange gold. Thick and fairly loose, lasting, just off white head. Nose has ripe banana esters. Pithy citrus. Baked fruit. Fruited bread. Smells great. Taste is chewy sweet, with a robust, citrus, herbal bitterness. Smooth and pretty full mouthfeel is tempered by high-ish foamy carbonation. Finish gets bitter and a little dry. Loads going on. Lovely.

33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Dranken Marlou. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: mellow fruity, pear, honey, melon, peach, bit spicy, rum touch, bit yeasty. T: full malty base, mellow fruity, honey, bit bready, pears, orange, bit spicy, bit higher carbonation, nice balanced and very drinkable despite ABV, fully enjoyed.
