Pale and refreshingly citrus-y, despite its strength, this is an amazingly easy-drinking session ale. Hopped with Mt. Hood Hops from Oregon which offer mild, sweet and floral tastes. Perfect in the warmer months thanks to the zingy and fresh notes, packed full of hop aromas and flavours.

Handpull cask at the Bargeman's Rest, Newport. Poured mid-gold and clear with very little head. A bit low on aroma, with very light citrus notes pervading if you try hard enough. Bittersweet taste, slightly spicy and while its character is muted it has more than the aroma would suggest. Lemon drops and a hint of sweet cooking spice in the aftertaste. A decent strongish gold.

(Cask at Kitty’s, 20130615) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, long lasting and white. Aroma had citricness, fruitiness, peach and some soap. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were pine, citricness, grass, fruitiness, white bread, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A balanced beer with strong and good hop profile
