A prize-winning beer that we brew exclusively for De Bierkoning. The fruity, bitter hops and lightly roasted malt complement each other perfectly in this light brown beer. These flavours are accentuated with a little coriander to produce a full aroma of flowers, citrus and a hint of caramel. An irresistible beer that was crowned in the Brussels Beer Challenge with a silver medal in the Herb & Spice category.

Pours a murky amber/copper with an off-white head. Aroma of yeast, apricot, hops, ripe fruits, spices. Some sour notes, with a relatively dry finish. A very tasty and interesting beer I shall have again.

Tap at ’t IJ, Amsterdam: Hazy orange coloured quite bitter tasting brew, very bitter with some sweetness in it.

Clear dark amber colour, small one finger frothy off-white head, recedes slowly, thick layer remains, good lacing. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, some banana, yeast, lemon grass, cinnamon. Taste medium bitter and light sweet, caramel, roasted malt notes. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, dry bitter aftertaste, strong herbal notes in the finish, very good.

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, best before February 2016. Clear, orangeish amber with a huge, dense, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish, fruity-spicy aroma of coriander and peach with hints of honey and vanilla. Sweetish, fruity-spicy taste of peach and coriander with hints of honey, caramel and vanilla, followed by a crisp, medium bitter finish with hints of licorice. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very nice! But you really need to like coriander and peach, otherwise you’ll hate this beer.
