Bottle 0,33ltr: A Brown Belgian Ale a sweet taste and good bitter finish (on the label says one of Belgium Bitterest Beers).

Dark brown with lasting thin head. Aroma and flavour have quite a lot of sweet spice. Tastes a bit like a winter cake with dark treacle and ginger. Liquorice too.

Pours an enormous frothy head. The smell of ginger blows into my face while pouring out the contents of the bottle. I can also smell cardemom and brown sugar. Sweet sugary flavor with cardemom and ginger. Pure chocolate, caramel and tropical fruit. Reasonably balanced in spite of the strong spicy character.

Bottle. Murky amber-brown with a dirty beige head. Gusher. Heavy carbonation. Some particles floating around. Aroma of dark fruits, vinous notes, spices. Taste is medicinal, vinous, coriander, tart dark fruits, moldy cellar, wood. Strange.

One of Alvinne’s three Epiphany beers, this one made with four grains and three spices. Yellowish beige, creamy, thick foam (even some gushing when opening the bottle), quickly diminishing; colour a dark ruby brown with a wine-red glow, misty. Aroma of rich malts (chocolate and caramel), pear, plums, dates, bananas, old ’graanjenever’, cloves, coriander, cardamom, port wine, cinnamon; deep and rich multi-layered malt taste, sweetish with obvious spices (predominantly coriander), liqueurish finish with a light toasted bitterness reminiscent of a Scotch beer.
