Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Max. Dark brown to black. Aroma of roast and piney hops. Roasty flavor, slightly sweetish, with a bit of chocolate, coffee, and bitter piney hops. Nice.

Bottle 0.33l at Amsterdam, Helsinki. BBE 02/07/16. Colour is black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, roastiness, coffee and roasted roasted malts. Pretty nice. Some weird sour elements when starting to drink. I thought first bottle is contaminated but it isn’t.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into snifter. Black with dark brown highlights and small beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is dark malt, herbal hops, and bitter hops.

Bottle, 750 ml from Roybeer, Milano. Shared with Miro and Kova. Dark brown with light brown head. Roasted malts, fruit, hoppy, chocolate, bitterish. Medium to full bodied. Another nice beer from Toccalmatto.

Almost black, a head is creamy, beige and head. Aroma is roasted, piney, slightly fruitful, also liquirice and some aging woodness. Taste is roasted, some coffee, pine, hint of fruits, medium bitteness that is long lasting. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Basig good beer but nothing else.

Draught, 23 Club, Liverpool. Pitch black looks with a tan crown. Decent hoppy snout in tandem with some roast and choc notes. Flavour was a similar yarn with some nice tropical/citrus fruits in the mix. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and scores highly on drinkability. Dryish lingering bitter finish. Cracking BIPA from a top class brewery.
