Half pint at Basement Brewhouse, Bankstown. Looks like 'home brand' cola, smells like 'home brand\" cola. Tastes like flat Tizer! Finish actually has a yeasty sourness that reminds you this is a beer but seriously as a soft drink this would be poor.

Can. Murky brown with a head that's completely gone in a minute. There's some moody sour funk underneath, but mostly it smells like a mixture of post mix Coke and good ginger beer. Given that, it's surprising that it's not all that sweet. But the sourness just kind of runs into the sweetness rather than complements it. The flavours are OK - perhaps not my sort of thing - but the balance is self-defeating.
