This is our rich, dark and decidedly decadent chocolate stout. Uncompromisingly bold and chocolatey, it's a beer to sip and savour - for drinking in your favourite armchair and contemplating life. It's a little bit naughty, but very, very nice. Treat yourself!

Can. Dark brown with tan head that fizzes away fairly quickly. Aroma of black strap licorice, chocolate, blackberries. Lowish carbonation, just medium bodied. Quite sweet but with roasted flavours that are enough to balance. Berries seem to add depth. As much licorice as chocolate. Nice balance but I expected a little more oomph at 7.5%.

Can a team home in Hackney - maybe sourced from Hop Locker? Pours clear brown with a slender, creamy khaki head. The nose has a faintmetallic note, dark fruits, berries, chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of roast, oily chocolate, more dark berries, raisins. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, with some bittersweet baking cocoa, cherry, a bit of boost warmth, more roast, subtle ash. Solid overall.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and has modest fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, good chocolate, some chocolate powder. Trace of tangy dark fruits. Smooth finish. Simple stuff, but tasty.
