Aroma of rich malts, toffee, caramel, dark fruits, raisins, light chocolate, some herbal notes. Flavour is quite sweet, a bit too much for my taste, with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. Body is nice and thick.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Yes an Christmas beer in late April. Brown coloured beer with red glow. Fine sweet taste with some fine winter spices as hints.

Bottle shared, murky reddishbrown, small head. Aroma is sweet, malt, spice, bit stale. Taste is the same, bitter, sweet, malt, spice, not too bad

Fles thuis gedronken. Donker bruin bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Aroma licht fruitig, tikkeltje wijn-achtig. Smaak is zoet, fruitig met een licht bittere nasmaak.

Just a hint of smokiness, syrup and tropical fruit in the aroma. Very sweet taste and syrupy with some roasted malt and coffee. Onedimensional and a bit too sweet.

Dunkler, trocken malziger Beginn mit geringer Säure. Etwas herb, süffig, wenig Schokolade und Alkohol. Rund, süffig, langer, trocken dunkelmalziger Abgang. 10/11/11/10/8/10

Fles 33cl thuis. EBU 24, laurier, niet te zoet, hout, bittertonen, kruidig, a bit sticky mouthfeel, beetje pure chocolade. Lekker. (6-2-18).

On tap at Jopen Proeflokaal. Murky dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of clove, cinnamon, dark fruits, malts, quite sweet, honey, blossom, slightly oxidized but nice, hint of wild yeast in there. Flavour is sweet but not cloying, spicy, cinnamon, clove, mace, dark fruits, malts, light bitter finish. Medium bodied, smooth. Nice.

Dark brown colour. Some sweet caramel in the aroma and also some dry cork. Lots of dark malts and some dark fruits. Hint of bay leaf.
