Bottle at De Koffer, Groningen. Aroma is strong floral, dandelions, spicy peppery yeast, funky notes, ripe fruits, orange, hoppy notes. Flavour is over moderate sweet with a nicely moderate hoppy bitter finish. Body is medium. Nicely floral and yeasty fruity, another very fine Fantôme.

Bottle pour at the RB DC sendoff meetup. Poured slightly hazy yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was huge honey notes, light sweetness, but age on this (it's from 2012). Pretty tasty. Kind of reminds me of a mead.

Tap in proper glassware at Afterthought. Quite an odd beer. Earthy and bitter. Funky and odd and garage/barnyard. Off tones, inexpert/inadequate brewing shines more than it did 25 years ago.

75cl bottle (7,5%) from Etre Gourmet web shop. F: medium, tan, average retention. C: deep amber, hazy. A: peach, banana, herbal, bit grassy, spicy. T: hay, herbal, peach, spicy, long lasting bitterness from hops and dandelion, dry on the palate, medium carbonation, another like or hate beer from Fantôme, enjoyed for sure.

Bottle bought at the brewery. Pours reddish with off-white head. Aroma is herbal and spicy, and flavor follows suit with a bit of funk on the back half of the palate.

Pours dark amber to light reddish with a bit of haziness, hazier on second pour. Medium sized head (actually not so big for a saison), slightly off-white; good enough persistence and nice lacing. Bright and wonderfully complex aroma shows a quite strong sweet base of caramel plus a touch of honey and something that might be described as floral sweetness (i guess it's the dandelions, which are not in my taste palette, what i get smells more or less like chamomille), fruitiness (blood orange especially), delicate but quite vivid spiciness, some earthy and herbal/grassy hints. Taste notes follow the aroma closely. The beer is very sweet but nicely balanced by alcohol attenuation, by a dry enough finish and by the slightest bit of sourness. It's a pleasantly rustic taste, but not as bright/defined as the smell suggested. Medium bodied, surprisingly easygoing for the abv, with slightly above medium carbonation (which means a bit less carbonated than style average). Super nice, interesting and wonderfully drinkable rustic saison. A bit more brightness/definition in taste would have made this a masterpiece.
