Dark and sweet Original Ale
A velvety and malty ale made with lots of dark caramelized malts. Full-bodied and full-flavoured. Sweeter and darker than classic amber ales, this is Robe Town's interpretation of the warm amber gemstone in liquid form. Bottle conditioned. Best served at cellar temperature 8-12°C.

Bottle. Slow gusher, then much more off white head than amber beer. Very active carbonation. Clearly something awry. Aroma of nuts, green apples, spices, dirty towels. Sour apple and feral spice notes that suggest all is not well. Underneath there’s bread crust and some nuts. Not really drinkable. Another time perhaps.
